Global Game Jam Cologne 2014

Are you ready? The Global Game Jam is back at CGL. From January 24-26 we will be hosting the annual 48h-hours game development madness in our facilities at the Cologne Südstadt. You are invited to explore new technology tools, try on new roles in development and test your skills, to design, develop create, and make a new game in the time span of a weekend. The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s largest game jam event taking place around the world at physical locations.The event was initiated in 2008 by the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). The event traditionally takes place at the last weekend in January and stirs a global creative buzz in games, while at the same time exploring the process of development, be it programming, iterative design, narrative exploration or artistic expression. It is all condensed into a one weekend (48 h) development cycle. The GGJ encourages people with all kinds of backgrounds to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity. In January 2013,  309 location in 63 countries created over 3000 games.
