About

I looked at the sky and saw two shooting stars but couldn’t come up with a wish is a narrative game about two men in the who have fallen in love but live in very different worlds. One of the men is Hector, the owner of a gay-nightclub is living his homosexuality publicly, while Raymond  – a policeman – keeps it a secret to his family and colleagues in fear of losing his reputation. The game unravels the story of their fragile relationship as the players navigate through one fateful evening in which the police-force eventually raids Hector’s nightclub. This happens within three episodes which are separated by three past memories which let the players experience how the two men fell in love and formed a relationship.

The game is a 2D – Pixel-art Point-and-Click-adventure game for the PC. The players command and control the protagonists via mouse input. The gameplay mostly consists of moving the characters, talking to the people via dialog-decisions and inspecting the world around them. The players are guided by subtle ‘questlines’ which are represented through dialog-options which appear after certain things have happened.

I looked at the sky and saw two shooting stars but couldn’t come up with a wish is set in an alternative universe which resembles the 1970s in the USA politically but not stylistically.
